To be eligible to apply for a scholarship all candidates must be at least 12 year old.
Candidates under 16 years old must have permission from their parent or legal guardian before applying for a scholarship.
Standard places are offered at Theatre Arts Academy without audition.
Anyone aged 14 -18 can apply for a scholarship, whether currently a student with
TAA or not. Scholarships can be applied for throughout the year.
Scholarship candidates are asked to prepare a short solo song, and/or a monologue
and /or a dance. depending on the scholarship they are applying for.
Awards cover between 10% and 100% of fees and run initially for 12 months, subject to
attendance, progress and behaviour. Where part fees not covered by the award are overdue the scholarship will be withdrawn.
We are fully independent and currently have no set number of awards available; taking a case by case approach. We currently have eight students receiving awards of various amounts.
If you would like to register for a scholarship audition, and you are between 12 and 18* years, please confirm via email and we will forward an audition registration form to you.
*We are happy to consider applications from students who are 19 years old, provided they are still in full time education, school, college, foundation courses etc)

Scholarships will usually roll over after 12 months provided all set criteria is met.
Scholarships do not cover optional LAMDA exam coaching or optional LAMDA exams or TAA uniform.
